Just Keep Livin!!
What in the world is that catch phrase all about? I thought I would explain my trademark for those who didn’t follow my blog the first time around. One day while caring for a deteriorating husband and four young children and watching Nemo for the one hundredth time in a week, I started to get really irritated at my life, at God, at how anything that could happen to a person seemed to happen to me. I was tired, lonely, and sick of it all and sitting there with a nursing baby, one arm around Caleb, the other around Mabel “watching” Nemo and thinking, “I don’t think I can do this much longer Lord” and then I heard Dori, the famous blue fish in the movie, the optimistic, always cheerful sidekick to Jessica – I mean Marlin, the pessimistic, glass is half empty father of Nemo. Dori was swimming around Marlin singing over and over, “Just keep swimming, just keep swimmin, just keep swimming, swimmin, swimming,” And God spoke to me in that ridiculous moment and said, “You, just keep livin, just keep livin, just keep livin, livin, livin, and I will never leave you nor forsake you.” And I have tried my darndest ever since to keep that as my mantra. No matter what life throws at you, no matter how bad it gets, with God by your side you are able to just keep goin, just keep truckin, and just keep livin.
